Sheri wrote her children’s book 40 years ago as a love letter to her first child, but didn’t know if it had any value:
Sheri was challenged with bringing her dream of having her book published into reality. She wrote her book years ago as a love letter to her child and held on to the dream of having it published, but had no idea how to do it. It sat on her back burner for a full four decades, and it just kept coming back up in her heart.
According to Sheri, meeting with Heather was so inspiring. When she read her book, it was clear that she would be an excellent partner because she not only read it, she also felt it. Moreover, she saw how important it was to Sheri. She validated the quality of it and joined the vision of her dream. Sheri’s excitement for the publishing process continued to grow.

When Sheri wrote the book, she intended for it to be a children’s book, but as she worked together with Heather, it became clear to her that the book is really a book for everyone as we all have a precious child inside of us. It was an amazing insight that they both reached together!
Here’s what we did for Sheri to get her out of overwhelm, and to the proud moment of holding her book in her hands:
- Offered her space to share her vision and co-developed a plan for illustrating her book, helping her move from doubt to confidence so she could finally bring her children’s book to life.
- Listened to the book’s message and deeper meaning, which helped her recognize its universal value so she could confidently share it with a wider audience.
- Designed a collaborative process of marrying the illustrations with her narrative that honored her story and made her feel proud of the final product, allowing her to embrace vulnerability positively.
- Reconnected her with the original purpose of her children’s book, helping her fine-tune the message so she could fully embrace the deeper emotional and educational meaning behind her work.
- Aligned her personal journey and creative vision, providing essential services such as illustrations, cover design, and securing an ISBN number so she could publish a book that resonates with both children and adults.
Together, we crafted a vision that honored her story while creating something meaningful for both children and adults. The process not only reignited her passion but also helped her embrace the deeper purpose behind her book. Sheri would now be able to share her love letter with a wider audience, knowing it truly matters.

Sheri was overwhelmed with love and gratitude when she read the finished book to her adult children:
Sheri’s long-held dream is now a reality—her children’s book is published, and she couldn’t be more proud. After 40 years of doubt, she’s now confident in its value and excited to share it with the world.
Sheri says that when it was published, she felt extremely vulnerable because it was her whole heart. The day she read it to her children, who are now adults, she was completely overwhelmed with love and gratitude.
