Believing Oprah Finds Me

Originally posted on WildeHouseOf.com, March 10, 2023

Many of you are familiar with my journey alongside Patricia Passero, which began a year ago. It’s hard to put into words just how much working with Pat, capturing her life story, and helping her realize her dream of becoming a published author has meant to me.

Honestly, it’s been the most profound experience of my life, something I never could have anticipated.

Pat, a stranger at first, opened her heart to me in a truly remarkable way. The love and purity she shared with me have enriched my own capacity to love others—it’s a gift I’ll always cherish.

When we lost Miss Patricia last October, it was just before our joint grandbaby entered the world. But in every encounter with Avery, I see Pat’s light shining through, reminding me of our incredible journey together. It’s moments like these that make me feel incredibly grateful for the path we’ve traveled.

These blog posts mark the beginning of a new chapter for me. They’re short and sweet, but they hold a special place in my heart as a tribute to the spring of 2023 and the remarkable woman that was Pat Passero. Let me take you back to our March 10, 2023 working session.

Pat had a touch of Irish and made sure to celebrate the March holiday in style.

Pat is the purest, glass-half-full human I have ever met.

Today, the topics of conversation danced around dating, loving and serving others, teaching, and waiting for Oprah. Pat believes our project is amazing and Oprah’s people will find us.

This is not the first time we have had this conversation, so I tell her, “Manifest that shit, Pat.”

Today, I added that I didn’t want to do the legwork to contact Oprah, but Pat assured me she would find us.

I rearranged her phone on her nightstand so it would be easier to access when she needed to reach over to answer that phone call of her dreams. Does anyone have Oprah connections?!

Something is bubbling and shifting deep inside me that I can’t quite put my finger on. Sure, our conversations talk about the dreams and wishes of someone who sees the end of their time on Earth within closer view, but it’s more than that for me.

A new level of compassion, light, and love fills my heart whenever I am with her, and the tears often fall. I have done this healing thing long enough to know that I don’t have to question the raw beauty of this work. I embrace all we share and am open to this new level of vulnerability.

And I will also wait for that call from Oprah.
